Uruguay’s National System for Response to Climate Change and Variability (SNRCC, in Spanish) was created as a horizontal and multi-actor coordination mechanism to plan and align public and private actions related to climate change mitigation, adaptation, and risk prevention. It is composed of most national ministries and includes actors from the private sector, academia, and civil society. As such, the SNRCC provides institutional and cross-sectoral coordination through a leading board and thematic working groups.
