The National Advisory Council on Climate Change (NACCC) oversees policy implementation and appraises climate-related projects to ensure alignment with national priorities. It is composed of senior and technical officers from government and civil society who provide advice to the Prime Minister, coordinating a whole-of-government and whole-of-society response to climate change-related challenges. Its functions include encouraging the integration of climate change and disaster policies across all levels of government and the private sector, and identifying actions and strategies for adaptation and mitigation.
