The Climate Change Adaptation Secretariat is Israel’s coordination and monitoring body responsible for advancing the implementation of the National Strategy for Adaptation. Its mandate includes promoting, reviewing, and updating adaptation policies; coordinating national adaptation activities; publishing annual progress reports; and conducting and coordinating research on climate impacts. It promotes information sharing and strengthens science–policy linkages. Initially established to oversee cross-ministerial coordination, the Secretariat has evolved into a multi-actor body including representatives from the Prime Minister’s Office, relevant ministries and agencies, local governments, and civil society organizations.
