The Brunei National Council on Climate Change (BNCCC) is the country’s highest-level mechanism for providing strategic direction on climate change and promoting a “whole-of-nation” approach. As such, any decisions taken by other national climate bodies, including the Executive Committee on Climate Change, require endorsement by the BNCCC. The Council is composed of representatives from various ministries responsible for key areas, including Development, Energy, Primary Resources and Tourism, Transport, and Infocommunications. It is co-chaired by the Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, the Minister of Finance and Economy II, and the Minister of Development.
